Privacy

ElectroFinds is a reading site. It has no accounts, no login, and no newsletter, so there is nothing for you to hand over in the first place.

What we collect

Standard web-server request logs — the page requested, the time, a truncated address and the browser string — kept only long enough to keep the site running and to spot abuse. We also count clicks on our own outbound retailer links: which review, which retailer, and when, with nothing personal attached. We do not build profiles and we do not sell anything to anyone.

Affiliate links

Every “Check price at…” button leaves through our own redirect and then hands you to the retailer. The retailer’s affiliate programme sets a cookie so it can attribute a purchase back to us. That cookie is the retailer’s, set on the retailer’s domain, and is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.

Images and video

Product images are served from the retailer’s own image hosts, and video thumbnails from YouTube. Loading a page therefore makes a request to those hosts. We send no referrer with them.
