Reading the discount
That is a narrow gap, and it is worth being blunt about it: a cut this small is closer to price noise than to a sale. If the specification does not stand on its own at $1,236.69, the discount will not carry it.
One caveat we will not paper over: this is measured against Amazon's own listed price, not against the lowest figure the product has ever carried. Our record of this listing starts on 9 September 2026, so it is a comparison, not a history.
The listing carries an end date of 17 October 2026. Retailers pull pages early and without warning, so read that as the outer edge rather than a promise.
What else the tracker has at this money
The closest tracked listings in laptops are Hp 15.6 Inch HD Windows Laptop AI Intel Core Ultra 5 225U 8GB 512GB SSD Natural Silver at $545.00 (Walmart) and HP OmniBook 3 Laptop AI 17t-dg000 at $479.99 (HP). Both undercut it, so the case for paying more has to come from the table below rather than from the price.
These are the nearest listings by price that our tracker currently holds, not a survey of the market. Anything not on sale at one of the six retailers we follow does not appear here at all.
The strongest reason to pick it is the M5 chip paired with 16GB memory and a 512GB SSD in a 13 inch body, a balance of performance and portability that covers most daily work.
